I was called to the ministry at a very young age, but as a preacher's son I didn't think that I wanted all the 'headaches' of the ministry. But I also knew that I could not survive spiritually without the fire of God.
After 18 years as an embalmer the call came again and I couldn't deny it any longer. God has continued, since that day of acceptance, to bless my ministry greater than I ever believed it could be.
I think of Noah who ministered for 100+ years and he only reached his own family. I thank God that my family knows the Lord and many others have come to know Him through Jesus Christ and our labors of love. It is a privilege and honor to serve as pastor at Calvary.
Donna Gruver
Sister Gruver has taken on the
responsibilities of so many areas in the work of the church I am sure to
overlook some of them. She is also our church secretary and keeps
everyone on their toes, (especially the Pastor).
Nathan, Nick, & Whitney
It's wonderful to have a family that enjoys working for God. Our eldest son, Nathan, runs our sound equipment and our younger son, Nick, plays the drums and runs the keyboard. Our daughter, Whitney sings in our Community Christian High School Choir (Encounter).
